Molly's Last Day as a 15 Year Old

She's in the kitchen with Emily - baking.
Tomorrow we will all go to school/work...and then celebrate at a Mexican restaurant.
Her call.

What a precious daughter and sister she is!

Molly's Mums - Thank you Anne!

Dear friend, Anne gifted us with these last summer.

They're called "Vicki mums".
No joke.
How funny.
My name

I think Molly will soon cut these back so they'll spread.
Of course, Anne will advise.

I have to keep yard activities simple.

I worked in our yard from 11:00-3:00 today.
It was necessary.
Cutting, hedging, weed eating
I look at it all as good exercise, fresh air, Vitamin D.

I have to watch my attitude when I'm doing this after a long day at work and getting up at 5:15 -- between homework, feeding kids, and other afternoon responsibilities.

I'm not a fan of bad attitudes or whining.
So -- I just have get over it and move on.

I'm glad I was home on a Saturday to get the work done.

All the girls pitched in - picking up sticks, hauling them into a big pile at the street.
Bagging limbs where I hedged shrubs
Raking pine straw st Nanny Carol's to put in the bed with mums
Picking up sticks at mom's house

While I cut the grass (riding lawn I'm not slaving away too much)....
Emily cleaned 2 windows inside and out.
Mary cleaned 1 bathroom.
Molly cleaned kitchen and dining room floors.

Family work ethic
Serving together!

Emily and Molly - Super Sisters to Ride Kiddie Train with Mary

BIG community work day at my school

Mom and the girls came to help.

Nanny Carol was the hit of the party.
Everyone thought she was so much fun and so encouraging.
A hoot.

Those are direct descriptors and quotes.

Some folks just wanted to take her home.

Her light really shines bright!

First Grade Program

This Is Mary's Answer to Prayer

She wanted to see one, and BAM.
One appeared around the next curve.

Such a spectacular reminder that HE always keeps his promises!

Good Monday - No School. No work

Nanny Carol spent the night with us - after we ALL returned from visiting family over the Easter Weekend -- in another state.

I logged 825 miles of driving in 56 hours.
Worth it!
No doubt about it.

Today...with mom joining us, we returned to the carousel.
Ate b-b-q.
Shopped at 1 store.
Got oil changed.
Treated ourselves at a bakery.
Picked up a few groceries.
Made tea for kombucha....
and voiced our appreciation for a fast paced but treasured time of making memories with those who are so very important to us.

He is Risen!

This was one of our morning devotional stories.
Sweet tale/legend of how the Robin came to be "red breasted".
Little bird was following Jesus on the day of His crucifixion, and it flew down to pull a thorn stuck in our Savior's forehead.
Upon doing so, a drop of blood fell in the bird's chest.

But the 3rd day arrived!!!
Happy Easter.

Opportunity to Ride/Walk a Horse

This fella and his family volunteer to work with handicapped children -- horse therapy.

We got the chance to meet him and his horse, Lady.
She was gentle and patient!

Then we went to watch a few minutes of an archery competition.
Something new and different!
